Guitar Shaped Business Card with QR Code

IT Rockstars – Guitar Shaped Business Card with QR Code

AppWare – I love this idea. A business card made to look like an iPhone. In place of the famous Apple logo, a QR code has been put in its place. This is by far one of the most unique QR code business cards I have come across. This card should have been made with a high gloss to really put it over the top.

Tips for Creating a QR Code Business Card

Always use short URLs. The more data, such as a long URL, inside of a QR code will cause the QR code to become more complex. Complex QR codes are larger as they hold much more data. Using a service such as bit.ly, you can decrease the size of your QR code.

Use a high contrast between colors. QR codes work best when they are black on white. If you choose to go with another color, make sure there is a high enough contrast between the two colors to be readable.

Make y our QR code the right size. If your QR code is too small, it will be very had to read and will most likely be skipped over. Not sure what the proper size is? Check out our article on proper QR code size for more information.

Stand out from the rest! If your QR code blends in with everyone else, you are less likely to be noticed. Create a custom QR code that is visually apealing that will stand out from all the rest. Use a service to create a custom QR code for your business card.

Great post Chris, it’s a shame though how many of these QR Codes don’t scan properly, or lead to a non-mobile-friendly landing page.
